The Army Public School, Ahmedabad, under the aegis of the Golden Katar Division, proudly hosted the Southern Command Principals’ Meet – “Nav Chintan 2025” on September 25–26. The two-day conclave brought together senior Army officials, AWES directors, and principals from Army Public Schools across India to reimagine education for the future.
The highlight of the event was the inspiring address by Major General P.R. Murali (Retd.), Managing Director, AWES, who reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation. His Open Forum created space for dynamic exchanges on 360-degree teacher assessments, technology integration, skill development, and holistic student growth.

With sessions aligned to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the conclave focused on the future of digital learning, skill-based education, and experiential teaching. The gathering also became a hub for sharing best practices across the APS network, fostering collaboration and collective growth.
On the second day, delegates visited APS Ahmedabad, where students showcased NEP-aligned projects through a vibrant exhibition covering culinary arts, gardening, handicrafts, and innovation-driven models. Noteworthy sessions included APS Chennai’s presentation on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), drawing attention to progressive pedagogical practices being implemented across Army Public Schools.
The event was further elevated by the presence of Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain, AVSM, SM, Chief of Staff, Southern Command, whose thought-provoking address stressed the importance of visionary leadership in transforming education. His words resonated strongly with the conclave’s theme of “Nav Chintan” — new thinking for a new era of learning.
The meet concluded with a vote of thanks and a dedicated session to consolidate insights and chart a roadmap for future reforms within the APS system. By blending visionary leadership, innovation, and collaboration, “Nav Chintan 2025” left participants inspired to take forward the mission of nurturing future-ready learners across the Army Public School network.
