SVPI Airport is only airport in India and Asia to earn this accolade in 2025, placing it amongst a select group of airports worldwide recognised for outstanding HSE standards. Awarded following a rigorous, quantified audit against 4,500 global best-practice points, the Five-Star Rating signifies SVPI Airport’s exceptional dedication to enhancing HSE experiences for passengers, employees, stakeholders, service partners, and contractors at every touchpoint.
A series of forward-thinking safety initiatives drove this SVPI Airport’s achievement, such as:
- Implementation of digital Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) via the aviio App, which supports not only SOP digitalisation but also Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) tracking for continuous improvement.
- Installation of advanced AI-based surveillance cameras for safety and project oversight. The airport emphasises robust safety governance, monitoring, and implementation with the shared goal of zero harm.
- Introduction of in-house digital platforms to strengthen HSE management and establishment of a dedicated Safety Excellence Centre for governance, training, operational monitoring and Access control via application.
- Use of Life Safety System Requirements (LSSR) tutorial videos, specialised induction and training modules, along with an in-house safety learning portal for ongoing education and safety awareness among workers and staff.
- Achieved an outstanding 15 million safe man-hours with Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) since inception.
- Deployed 24 intelligent cleaning robots to improve hygiene standards in the terminals.
