The Arihant School of Pharmacy, under Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, set a positive tone for the new academic year by organizing an engaging Orientation Program for newly admitted B.Pharm students on Tuesday at the University Seminar Hall.
The event, designed to familiarize students with the academic framework and campus culture, began with registration, refreshments, and a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony symbolizing the dawn of a new journey. This was followed by a prayer session and a welcome address by Principal Dr. Upendra Patel, who motivated the fresh batch to pursue excellence with commitment and discipline in the ever-evolving pharmaceutical field.
Mr. Minesh Prajapati, Head, SIE Scheme and Programs, introduced students to the Swarrnim Incubation Center, emphasizing its role in nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among budding pharmacists. Ms. Anuja Gupta, General Manager, Training and Placement Cell, shared insights on career development initiatives and the industry connect provided by the University.
Adding to the session, Asst. Prof. Ms. Ankita Chandwani delivered a comprehensive presentation about Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, acquainting students with the institution’s academic ecosystem, cultural vibrancy, and opportunities for holistic growth.
Students also had the chance to meet their faculty mentors, fostering an early sense of connection and belonging within the department. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sandip Patel, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, who highlighted the importance of orientation sessions in building confidence and clarity among new entrants.
