As India surges ahead in its renewable energy transition, GREW Solar, one of the nation’s fastest-growing solar PV manufacturers, has unveiled its G12R High-Power Series ahead of REI Expo 2025, setting a new benchmark for efficiency and innovation in large-scale solar projects.
In the first half of 2025, India achieved record-breaking solar and wind generation, reducing nearly 24 million tonnes of carbon emissions and cutting reliance on coal. The new G12R series aligns perfectly with India’s national ambition of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, reinforcing GREW Solar’s role in advancing the country’s position as a global clean energy manufacturing hub.
The G12R High-Power Series, with power output up to 635 Wp, is engineered for utility-scale excellence — cutting module count by 6–8% per MW, reducing balance-of-system (BOS) costs, and enhancing installation efficiency. It also delivers 6–7% higher container power density and 1.5–3% more power per square metre than standard TOPCon modules.

“It is encouraging to see companies like GREW Solar taking decisive steps toward advancing India’s renewable energy vision,” said Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE). “The launch of the G12R High-Power Series reflects how Indian manufacturers are not just scaling capacity but raising benchmarks in technology and quality. As India moves steadily toward its 2047 energy independence vision, such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening domestic manufacturing and ensuring long-term energy security.”
Vinay Thadani, CEO & Director, GREW Solar, added, “The G12R High-Power Series is designed to meet the real needs of large-scale developers while supporting India’s clean energy goals. As the country moves toward 500 GW renewable capacity by 2030 and energy independence by 2047, we are building a manufacturing ecosystem that ensures scale, efficiency, and reliability. Our focus is on combining advanced technology with execution strength to deliver solutions that reinforce India’s clean energy leadership.”
Echoing this commitment, Hardip Singh, COO, GREW Solar, said, “Our focus has always been on operational excellence and disciplined execution. The G12R High-Power Series represents the synergy of our engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams — all aligned toward building modules that deliver performance and reliability at scale. As we expand capacity, efficiency across every production stage remains our top priority.”
Currently operating a 6.5 GW PV module facility in Dudu (Jaipur), GREW Solar is on track to expand to 11.0 GW by 2026, alongside a new 8.0 GW solar cell plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. Supported by a ₹300 crore fundraise, the company is fast-tracking its capacity expansion, R&D investment, and innovation roadmap to deliver on India’s clean energy promise.
