The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality group, marked a significant milestone today with the inauguration of Vivanta Ekta Nagar and Ginger Ekta Nagar, heralding its debut in the iconic destination of Ekta Nagar. The twin launches coincided with the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Today marks a momentous milestone for IHCL as we proudly unveil two new greenfield hotels in Ekta Nagar. With the addition of these two properties, IHCL now boasts a portfolio of 39 hotels in Gujarat, including 17 under development. Notably, Ginger Ekta Nagar becomes the 75th operating hotel under the Ginger brand, further solidifying its position as the country’s largest single brand in the midscale segment.

Located just three kilometres from the Statue of Unity, Vivanta Ekta Nagar offers 127 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites with sweeping views of the Satpura and Vindhya ranges. Bringing IHCL’s lean-luxe philosophy to Ekta Nagar, Ginger Ekta Nagar caters to modern travellers seeking convenience and style. The hotel features 151 well-appointed rooms, a vibrant Qmin restaurant offering global and local cuisine, a fitness centre, and a meeting room for business travellers.
