Carrying forward Apollo’s four-decade legacy from Greams Road — where it first redefined healthcare delivery in 1983 — the new hospital integrates precision Ayurveda with modern medical science, offering both in-patient and out-patient services for complex non-communicable diseases, rehabilitation, and holistic wellness.
The hospital provides evidence-based Ayurvedic care across diverse specialties, including orthopaedics, neuro and neurodegenerative disorders, metabolic and endocrine diseases, women’s health, paediatric and developmental disorders, geriatrics, ano-rectal conditions, dermatology, and respiratory disorders.
“Ayurveda is one of India’s greatest gifts to humanity,” said Dr. Prathap C. Reddy. “At Apollo, we believe that when practiced with precision, Ayurveda complements modern medicine by addressing root causes and enhancing wellbeing. This new centre will stand as a beacon for research-led Ayurvedic care that strengthens recovery, resilience, and lifelong health.”
Answering a query, Dr Pratap C Reddy said that the Apollo AyurVAID Hospital will spread its wings to various countries around the world within next four to five years.
Dr. Preetha Reddy emphasized that Apollo’s approach has always been patient-centric and holistic. “Through Apollo AyurVAID, we are integrating clinically governed, evidence-based Ayurveda with modern care. This initiative strengthens our mission to promote lifelong wellbeing and build India’s most advanced network for precision Ayurveda.”
Dr Preetha Reddy said that another four more such facilities would be established with three months time across the nation.
Rajiv Vasudevan added, “The Chennai flagship represents a culmination of our two-decade journey. With Apollo’s scientific rigour and Ayurveda’s timeless wisdom, we aim to make outcome-driven holistic healing accessible to all.”
As part of Apollo’s commitment to safety and transparency, the facility will also offer the ‘Tested Safe’ AyurVAID product range, featuring rigorously tested Ayurvedic formulations for women’s health, child wellness, elder care, pain management, sleep, stress, and skin health — all traceable via real-time QR-coded safety reports.
Few chronic patients including an international Para Archery sports woman explained their journey of healing/recovery from their illness with the help of AyurVAID treament given at Apollo AyurVAID facility at Vanagaram.
