AHMEDABAD, NOV 8
Marking a century of dedicated service to the nation, Bharatiya Vichar Manch (BVM), in collaboration with Bharat Shodh Sansthan (BSS), is set to host a grand celebration of the Centenary Year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Ahmedabad. The event, themed “RSS: A Century of Leadership – Direction and Role,” will be held from November 11 to 14, 2025, at the Gujarat University Convention and Exhibition Centre, Memnagar.
Announcing the details, Ishan Joshi, General Secretary of Bharatiya Vichar Manch, said, “The Centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is not merely a celebration of an organization but a moment of national reflection and awakening. Through this event, we aim to revisit the value-driven journey of the Sangh and inspire renewed intellectual and cultural vitality within the nation.”
The centenary program will be inaugurated on November 11 at 5:30 pm by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The event will also be attended by senior RSS thinkers, representatives from Pragna Pravah, Bharatiya Vichar Manch, and distinguished personalities from academia, industry, culture, and public life.
Lecture Series: Revisiting a Century of Ideals and Leadership
The Lecture Series will feature in-depth sessions by eminent national thinkers and senior RSS leaders, including Dr. Krishna Gopal, C. R. Mukund, Atul Limaye, and Alok Kumar. The discussions will trace the Sangh’s evolution from the visionary leadership of Dr. K. B. Hedgewar to the transformative era of Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat, exploring how the RSS has shaped India’s social, cultural, and national consciousness over the past hundred years.
“These lectures will offer scholars and intellectuals a rare opportunity to engage deeply with the philosophical foundations and leadership direction of the Sangh, whose contribution to India’s freedom struggle and post-Independence nation-building is both historic and inspiring,” Joshi added.
Exhibition & Multimedia Show: A Journey Through a Century
The “RSS: A Century of Leadership” Exhibition will showcase rare documents, photographs, and archives that chronicle the Sangh’s deep engagement with India’s freedom movement and its continued nation-building mission.
The exhibit will highlight the Sangh’s association with Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, and Kanhaiyalal Munshi, underscoring its commitment to unity, social reform, and national service.
A special Multimedia Show will offer visitors an immersive visual and aural journey through 100 years of the RSS — from its humble beginnings in 1925 to its present-day global presence — reflecting the organization’s discipline, dedication, and cultural renaissance.
Adding to the occasion, the India Government Mint, Mumbai, will open a special sales counter for the commemorative coin “100 Years of RSS,” offering citizens a chance to own a keepsake of this landmark event.
National Legacy and Participation
The centenary celebrations are expected to attract distinguished participants from across Gujarat, including industrialists, academicians, media professionals, doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants, and social leaders. Senior office-bearers from RSS Prant, Kshetra, and Akhil Bharatiya levels will also be present.
Reiterating the spirit of the event, Ishan Joshi stated, “The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s journey over the past 100 years has been intertwined with India’s own evolution — from the struggle for independence to the strengthening of democratic and cultural institutions. Through this celebration, we wish to honour that shared journey and its guiding spirit of selfless service.”
The special commemorative coin ‘100 Years of RSS’ will be available for purchase on all four days of the event at the India Government Mint’s exclusive sales counter.
The Exhibition and Multimedia Show will remain open to visitors from 5:00 pm on November 11 and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily from November 12 to 14, 2025.
