The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has successfully completed the Summer Placement process for the MBA Class of 2027 of its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) on November 3, 2025. The premier B-school placed all 410 participating students across 25 cohorts in a highly competitive three-cluster recruitment format. This year’s process saw a significant surge in both the number of recruiters and the diversity of roles, with more than 50 first-time recruiters joining the placement drive.
The 2025–26 season witnessed a sharp rise in opportunities from long-standing recruiters across Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity–Venture Capital, FMCG, Conglomerates, and Technology, reaffirming industry confidence in IIMA’s talent pool. Over 165 firms opened job descriptions offering more than 230 distinct roles.
Cluster Highlights: Leading Global Firms Drive Hiring
Cluster 1 – Consulting, PE-VC, Investment Banking
The Consulting cohort dominated Cluster 1, with:
- Boston Consulting Group – 24 offers
- McKinsey & Company – 17 offers
- Bain & Company – 15 offers
- Kearney – 15 offers
The PE-VC cohort saw active participation from Blackstone, Gaja Capital, and Ares.
In Investment Banking & Markets, Goldman Sachs (India & HKG/SGP) led with 11 offers, followed by Standard Chartered with 9.
Accenture Strategy made 39 offers across its India Market Unit and Global Network, while American Express, EY Parthenon, and Vector Consulting Group were among the top recruiters.
Cluster 2 – FMCG, Conglomerates, Retail & Tech-Enabled Roles
FinIQ Consulting topped Cluster 2 with 17 offers, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra and JioStar with 10 each.
Other key recruiters included:
- Procter & Gamble – 8
- Amazon – 8
- TAS – 6
- ITC, Flipkart – 6 each
- HUL – 5
Cluster 2 recorded a notable increase in both participation and offers compared to last year.
Cluster 3 – Technology, Core Manufacturing, Niche Consulting
Tata Consultancy Services emerged as the largest recruiter in Cluster 3 with 13 offers.
In Enterprise Tech:
- Adobe – 5 offers
- Microsoft – 4 offers
In Core Manufacturing, Hero MotoCorp and Tata Steel led with 3 offers each. Opportunities also came from Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Middle East.
A Placement Model Built for Student–Recruiter Fit
Firms were organized under a cluster–cohort system over three placement days on October 28, October 31, and November 3, 2025. IIMA continued its flexible Dream Application policy, enabling students to apply to their preferred firms even after receiving an offer.
This year:
- 117 students filed over 280 dream applications — a record high
- Dream-application conversions rose by 15% over last year
- Recruiter–recruitee fit improved significantly, reflecting IIMA’s core placement philosophy

Over 50 new companies — including Apple, Haleon, Hero MotoCorp, Purplle, FirstPrinciples, Medtronic, Lighthouse Canton, Neo Group, and Dainik Bhaskar — enriched the recruiting mix.
