MUMBAI, DEC 8
Waaree Solar Americas Inc. has secured a 288 MWp solar module order from Sabancı Renewables for two major utility-scale projects in Texas, marking a significant expansion of Waaree’s technology footprint in one of the world’s most demanding solar markets. This is the same order notified to stock exchanges on December 5, 2025.
The order will support the Pepper Solar Project in Waco and the Lucky 7 Solar Project in Brashear, with deliveries scheduled from Q3 2026.
Breakthrough Technology for Extreme Climate Zones
This milestone project introduces Waaree’s 620Wp bifacial modules to the U.S. market for the first time. These modules incorporate a 3.2 mm high-resilience front glass, engineered to withstand hailstorms and severe temperature variations — conditions that define Texas’ evolving climate risks.
Technology Highlights
- First U.S. deployment of 620Wp bifacial modules by Waaree
- 3.2 mm hail-resistant front glass for enhanced durability
- Optimized for utility-scale output with high mechanical load strength
- Engineered to minimize long-term degradation and maximize lifecycle performance
- Strong and compliant Bill of Materials supporting diversified, reliable U.S. supply chains
The modules are purpose-built for Texas, a region known for hail events, extreme temperatures, and volatile weather patterns.
