Humanity wins over the protocol here on Saturday. Leaving aside the protocol Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan went to the residence of veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy, who was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in Shamshabad in Ranga Reddy district on the night of November 27, and consoled the bereaved family members at their residence in Hyderabad.
She had expressed her shock and profound grief over the heinous crime of rape and murder of young girl.
Dr. Tamilisai assured the family members that the investigation into the case will be completed on a fast-track mode and will be referred to fast-track court, so that the culprits be punished at the earliest.
She also said the lapses in the system, if any, will be identified by the government and they would be rectified to instill confidence among girls and women in the State.
She said the government will take appropriate measures to safeguard the rights of the common public priority basis.
Telangana ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav and office-bearers of women’s rights organisations also visited Priyanka’s house and consoled the family members.
It was reported that the Minister Talasani had offered a government job to any one of the family members of Priyanka.
Meanwhile, people from all walks of life condoled the death of the girl and are demanding the criminal should be punished as quick as possible in social media.
