The Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, will undertake a two-day official visit to Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu on December 29 and 30, 2025, with a packed itinerary focused on education, culture, urban development and national integration.
The visit spans key academic institutions, cultural landmarks and heritage-driven initiatives, underscoring the importance of inclusive development and India’s civilisational unity.

Puducherry: Civic Reception, Bharathiar Tribute and University Convocation
On December 29, the Vice President will begin his tour in Puducherry, where he will attend a civic reception and unveil a statue of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiar, one of India’s most influential nationalist poets and social reformers.
He will also launch a housing project under the Smart City Mission, reinforcing the Centre’s focus on urban renewal and inclusive housing.
Later in the day, he will participate as Chief Guest at the 30th Convocation of Pondicherry University, addressing graduating students and faculty at one of the region’s leading higher education institutions.
Kerala: Trivandrum Fest and Sivagiri Pilgrimage
Following his engagements in Puducherry, the Vice President will travel to Kerala and attend Trivandrum Fest 2025, a major cultural event celebrating Kerala’s artistic and social traditions.
On December 30, he will take part in the 93rd Sivagiri Pilgrimage at Varkala, an event rooted in the teachings of social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, which promotes values of equality, education and spiritual harmony.
Mar Ivanios College Platinum Jubilee Concludes
During his Kerala visit, the Vice President will also inaugurate the public meeting marking the conclusion of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram.
The event marks 75 years of the institution’s contribution to higher education, social transformation and nation-building in Kerala.
Tamil Nadu: Kashi–Tamil Sangamam 4.0 Valedictory in Rameswaram
Later on December 30, the Vice President will travel to Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, to participate as Chief Guest at the valedictory ceremony of Kashi–Tamil Sangamam 4.0.
The initiative celebrates the civilisational, linguistic and cultural links between Tamil Nadu and Kashi, reinforcing the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat through people-to-people and knowledge exchange.
