Delhi Public School, Bopal continues to script inspiring sporting success stories as Rudra Gol, a Class XII student, delivered a series of stellar performances on the national skating circuit, culminating in a silver medal at the prestigious 69th SGFI National Skating Championship 2025.
The championship, organised by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), was held at Gwalior from December 25 to 30, 2025, where Rudra showcased exceptional endurance and tactical brilliance to finish second in the highly competitive 3000m Road Race, competing against the country’s best school-level skaters.
National Podium Finish Caps a Golden Skating Season
Rudra’s SGFI silver crowns an already remarkable season. Earlier, he had represented DPS Bopal at the 63rd National Roller Skating Championship 2025, held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, from December 5 to 15, 2025, where he delivered a commanding performance on the road circuit.
At Visakhapatnam, Rudra clinched:
- Gold Medal in the 15 km Elimination Road Race, and
- Bronze Medal in the Relay Race,
establishing himself as one of the most promising long-distance roller skaters at the national level.
Consistency, Endurance and Competitive Maturity
Across both championships, Rudra demonstrated:
- Superior race endurance
- Strategic pacing in elimination formats
- Calm decision-making under pressure
- Strong team coordination in relay events
His ability to sustain top-level performance across back-to-back national tournaments reflects months of disciplined training and competitive maturity beyond his age.
