The visit began on a ceremonial note with a Guard of Honour presented by NCC cadets drawn from all three wings—Army, Navy and Air Force—symbolising the unity and strength of India’s armed forces. This was followed by a vibrant band performance by girl cadets of Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani (Rajasthan), reflecting discipline, confidence and the rising leadership of young women in the country.

Walking through the meticulously designed Flag Area, prepared by cadets from all 17 NCC Directorates, the Air Chief Marshal witnessed powerful visual narratives on social awareness and national responsibility. He also visited the NCC Hall of Fame, which chronicles decades of courage, service and sacrifice by NCC cadets across generations.

Addressing the young cadets, Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh expressed deep faith in India’s youth and praised the NCC for its enduring role in nation-building and shaping disciplined, patriotic and value-driven citizens. He highlighted the NCC’s remarkable national footprint, noting that it is the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world, with over 20 lakh cadets, nearly 40 per cent of them girls.

Commending the cadets for their commitment, the CAS appreciated their active participation during Operation Sindoor and their efforts in promoting key government initiatives. Delivering a message that resonated deeply, he urged the cadets to “uphold NCC values and render service beyond the uniform”, encouraging them to embrace nationalism in everyday life and strive for excellence with a ‘never say die’ attitude.

Underscoring the significance of the Republic Day Camp, Air Chief Marshal Singh congratulated the cadets on earning the honour of representing their respective directorates at RDC 2026, calling it a moment of pride not just for them, but for their families, institutions and states.

The evening concluded on a high note as NCC cadets presented an enthralling cultural programme, celebrating India’s rich and diverse heritage through group songs, ballet and group dance performances. The soulful and energetic showcase drew warm appreciation from the Air Chief Marshal and other distinguished guests, reaffirming the spirit of unity in diversity that defines the nation.

The visit stood as a powerful reminder that India’s future rests in disciplined, inspired and service-minded youth—ready to serve the nation, in uniform and beyond.
