- Shahpur–Old High Court Stretch to Remain Closed for Over an Hour
North–South Line Services to Operate as Scheduled

AHMEDABAD, JAN 11
Metro commuters in Ahmedabad are advised to plan their travel in advance as Metro services on the East–West (EW) Line will remain temporarily suspended between Shahpur and Old High Court stations on January 12, 2026, due to scheduled operational reasons.
The suspension will be in effect from 9:45 am to 11:00 am. During this window, no metro trains will run on the Shahpur–Old High Court stretch, causing a brief disruption on the East–West corridor.
However, to minimize inconvenience to passengers, partial services will continue on both ends of the EW Line. Metro trains will operate:
- From Vastral Gam to Shahpur Metro Station, and
- From Old High Court Interchange to Thaltej Gam Metro Station.
Meanwhile, metro services on the North–South (NS) Line — connecting APMC, Motera Stadium, and Gandhinagar — will function as per the regular schedule, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity on that corridor.
Metro authorities have urged passengers, especially office-goers and students, to factor in the temporary disruption while planning their journeys and consider alternative travel options during the affected time period.
