In a vibrant celebration of creativity and community, Fevicryl, a pioneer in art and craft solutions, successfully hosted ‘The Art Chapter – Celebrating the Local Artist’, a six-day exhibition dedicated to empowering and promoting India’s local artistic talent. The event was held at the iconic Ahmedabad Ni Gufa, a venue synonymous with artistic inspiration and cultural depth.
The exhibition brought together over 50 local artists, including Fevicryl Certified Professionals and emerging talents, offering them a meaningful platform to showcase their work, connect with art lovers, collectors and patrons, and explore sustainable avenues for growth and monetisation.
Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Manan Chandarana, Category Head – Fevicryl, said, “The Art Chapter reflects Fevicryl’s long-standing commitment to nurturing India’s local art ecosystem. By creating meaningful platforms like this, we aim to celebrate artists, amplify their work, and help them gain the recognition and confidence they truly deserve.”
Responding to a query on Fevicryl’s role in creating a conducive atmosphere for skill enhancement and monetisation, Chandarana added, “Yes, this expo has created a windfall gain for many artists to monetise their creations, We have received over 10 commercial interests for their art works. We have also invited all of them to take part in expos to be held in seven other cities.”
The exhibition was graced by Dr. Bhanwar Rathore, Founder and President of Bhanwar Rathore Design Studio (BRDS), whose presence lent inspiration and prestige to the proceedings, underscoring the importance of structured platforms for creative professionals.
Over the course of six days, more than 5,000 visitors explored a rich spectrum of artworks spanning multiple styles, themes and mediums. The overwhelming public response highlighted the growing appreciation for homegrown art and local narratives, reinforcing the relevance of such initiatives.
Beyond visibility, The Art Chapter delivered tangible outcomes. Several participating artists secured direct sales, while many others received commission inquiries and collaboration leads, paving the way for future professional growth and sustained creative careers.
Adding another layer to the experience, a specially curated Indian Art Workshop was conducted alongside the exhibition, offering visitors a hands-on immersion into traditional Indian art forms and deepening the cultural dialogue between artists and audiences.
