From Ideas to Impact: AI Beyond the Pilot Stage
Unlike conventional showcases, the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave is looking strictly beyond prototypes and proof-of-concepts. The focus is on AI solutions that are already deployed, have real users, and can prove impact on learning outcomes.
The last date to submit Letters of Interest (LoI) is January 29, 2026.
Interested organisations can register and submit proposals via the official portal:

- AI for School Education
- AI for Higher Education
- AI for Skilling and Workforce Readiness
- AI Research and Deep Technology
The call is open to AI startups, edtech companies, academic and research institutions, foundations, government bodies, and ecosystem players from India and abroad.
‘AI Is the Enabler of NEP 2020 Goals’: IIT Madras Director
Calling upon innovators from across the country to participate, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, “India’s education system is undergoing a decisive transformation under National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework, with a strong emphasis on competency-based learning, inclusion, multilingual education and measurable learning outcomes beginning with strong foundations. In this context, AI is emerging as a powerful enabler to address persistent challenges across the education ecosystem, particularly in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, teacher support, assessment and diagnostics, personalised learning, and system-level monitoring at scale.”
Bodhan AI Foundation: India-First AI for Education
To advance this national priority, the Ministry of Education has established a Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education at IIT Madras, known as the IIT Madras Bodhan AI Foundation.
The Centre carries a national mandate to develop responsible, scalable and India-first AI solutions, aligned with national policies and digital public infrastructure, while ensuring access across diverse socio-economic, geographic and linguistic contexts.
Why Young Innovators Shouldn’t Miss This
The Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 is envisioned as a landscape-mapping and discovery platform, bringing together:
- Policymakers and government leaders
- Educators and academic institutions
- AI researchers and solution providers
- Edtech founders, investors and philanthropies
Selected participants will gain high-visibility national exposure and the opportunity to demonstrate solutions directly to decision-makers shaping India’s education roadmap.
