MUMBAI, FEB 4

In a decisive move to strengthen its corporate brand connect with millions of Indians, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, India’s No. 1 pharmaceutical company, has stepped onto the cricket field for the first time—announcing a three-year association as Principal Sponsor and Health Partner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the T20 Season 2026.

The partnership signals a strategic shift in Sun Pharma’s outreach—from being a trusted name behind medicines to becoming a visible, relatable brand woven into everyday national passions. Cricket, often described as India’s unifying force, offers Sun Pharma a powerful platform to humanise its purpose and engage audiences across generations.

As part of the collaboration, Sun Pharma’s logo will feature prominently on the front of RCB’s iconic red and black playing jersey, the official green match kit, and training apparel, supported by high-impact stadium branding during RCB’s home fixtures. The visibility is designed not merely for recall, but for meaningful brand association rooted in trust, consistency and impact.

“In India, cricket is more than just a sport. It is a shared emotion that unites millions across cultures and generations. RCB and Sun Pharma are both leaders in their respective domains, and this collaboration reflects our shared values of consistency, passion and innovation. Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen our corporate brand connect with people across India by bringing them closer to the company behind the medicines they rely on every day”, said Kirti Ganorkar, Managing Director, Sun Pharma.

Echoing this alignment of purpose, Rajesh Menon, COO of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, said, “RCB is committed to building partnerships that go beyond visibility and create meaningful engagement with fans. Sun Pharma joining us as our Principal Sponsor strengthens this commitment, bringing together two brands focused on impact and innovation. We look forward to a dynamic, season-long collaboration across digital platforms and match-day experiences.”

The association also dovetails seamlessly with Sun Pharma’s recently launched corporate brand campaign, which highlights its impact of *‘touching 1,000 lives every minute’**—a reflection of its patient-first philosophy. By partnering with RCB, Sun Pharma aims to translate this message from hospitals and pharmacies to stadiums, screens and social conversations.

With this landmark sponsorship, Sun Pharma is not just backing a team—it is batting for trust, visibility and purpose, leveraging cricket’s unmatched reach to connect millions of fans with the values behind India’s leading pharmaceutical company.
