In a major step towards simplifying digital rail services, Indian Railways has announced that the UTS-on-Mobile App (UTS App) will be decommissioned with effect from March 1, 2026, with RailOne App emerging as the single, unified and official mobile platform for passenger ticketing and services.
- UTS-on-Mobile app to be phased out completely from March 1, 2026
- Existing R-Wallet balance assured to remain safe and fully transferable
- RailOne to offer reserved, unreserved, season & platform ticketing under one roof
- Live tracking, food ordering, RailMadad support to enhance passenger experience
The decommissioning of the UTS App is being carried out in a phased manner. In the initial stage, season ticket booking and renewal, as well as new user registrations, were disabled on the UTS App. This was followed by the discontinuation of platform ticket booking and R-Wallet top-up functionalities, although the app continues to remain visible on app stores.
It has been further clarified that users who download or update the latest version of the UTS App will not be permitted to book platform tickets or recharge the R-Wallet through the UTS App.
R-Wallet Balance Fully Secure
Railway passengers have been clearly assured that their existing R-Wallet balance on the UTS App will remain completely safe and secure. The balance will not lapse or be forfeited due to the decommissioning of the UTS App and will be available for seamless use on the RailOne App.
Passengers are strongly advised to download and transition to the RailOne App, which brings together Unreserved, Season and Platform ticketing, along with access to Reserved ticketing services, through a single, user-friendly interface.
Salient Features of RailOne App
