Global Dairy Leaders to Converge in Mumbai
The summit agenda will include meetings of the IDF Board, General Assembly and various technical committees, alongside high-level deliberations on global dairy trends.
The event is expected to attract over 1,500 delegates from across the globe, representing a majority of the international dairy market. Participants will include policymakers, dairy farmers, cooperatives, processors, researchers, financial institutions, start-ups and technology providers — making it one of the most influential dairy sector gatherings worldwide.
Global Mandate Backed by IDF General Assembly
India’s hosting bid received formal approval at the 118th General Assembly of IDF held on October 14, 2024, in Paris, where member nations voted in favour of India hosting the 2027 edition.
India previously hosted the IDF World Dairy Summit in 2022 in Delhi-NCR, reinforcing its growing stature as a global dairy powerhouse.
A Flagship Global Platform Since 1903
The IDF World Dairy Summit is the flagship annual event of the International Dairy Federation, serving as a premier global platform to:
- Review the world dairy situation
- Discuss technical and policy issues
- Align on strategic directions for the dairy sector
Founded in 1903, the IDF is an international non-governmental organisation uniting the global dairy community, with approximately 40 member nations.
By securing the 2027 summit, India further consolidates its position as the world’s largest milk producer and a central voice in shaping the future of the global dairy economy.
