“Do not be afraid of failure — keep trying. Failure eventually will lead to success,” declared Anil Patel, as he returned to his alma mater to inspire a new generation of commerce students at the Navgujarat Group of Colleges.
Organised by the Vidyabhavan Trust, which runs the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, the interactive session brought together students from across the group’s institutions for a powerful exchange of ideas and experience. Shri Anil Patel currently serves as Executive Chairman at Grant Thornton Uganda, part of the globally renowned professional services network.
The event was also attended by Shri Snehal Shah, Managing Trustee of Navgujarat Group of Colleges.
Drawing from his remarkable professional journey—from college classrooms in Ahmedabad to leading a top international professional services firm—Patel emphasised the enduring value of education, integrity, and strong moral foundations in shaping a successful career.
He encouraged students to remain focused and disciplined while exploring professional pathways such as Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), and Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA), highlighting the importance of perseverance in competitive fields.
Reiterating his core message, Patel said, “Do not be afraid of failure — keep trying. Failure eventually will lead to success.”
He also spoke candidly about his own transition from student life to global leadership, urging young aspirants to embrace challenges as stepping stones rather than obstacles.
The session was attended by students of Prin. M C Shah Commerce College and C. C. Sheth College of Commerce, who engaged enthusiastically in the interactive discussion.
