AHMEDABAD, MAR 3

In a major opportunity for youth across Saurashtra and Kutch, the Army Recruiting Office (ARO), Jamnagar will conduct the much-awaited Agniveer Recruitment Rally from March 24 to April 3, 2026, at the iconic Race Course Stadium.

The rally, being organised under the transformative Indian Army Agnipath scheme, will cover candidates from 13 districts of Gujarat and Diu (UT) — Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Surendranagar, Kutch, Gir Somnath, Botad, Morbi, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Patan and Diu.

Multi-Category Recruitment Schedule

The rally will begin at 0015 hours (12:15 am) on designated dates, with categories including:

  • Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical & Agniveer Technical – March 24
  • Agniveer Tradesmen (8th Pass) – March 25
  • Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Pass) & Agniveer General Duty – March 26
  • District-wise phased reporting for General Duty candidates from March 27 to April 3
  • Final Tradesmen (8th & 10th Pass) category on April 3

The detailed district-wise schedule has already been communicated to shortlisted candidates.

“A Gateway to Honour and Discipline”

An official from ARO Jamnagar said, “The Agniveer Recruitment Rally is not just a selection process; it is a gateway for motivated youth to serve the nation with honour, discipline and pride. Candidates must strictly adhere to reporting time and carry all required documents.”

Highlighting transparency and preparedness, the official added, “Admit cards have been dispatched via registered email IDs on February 5 and 14, 2026. Candidates must log in to the official Join Indian Army portal and download their rally admit cards well in advance.”

A senior Army officer associated with the rally preparations noted, “The Agnipath scheme is designed to create a young, tech-savvy and battle-ready force. It provides structured military training, financial benefits, skill certification and post-service opportunities.”

Awareness: What Candidates Must Do

  • Download admit card from the official Join Indian Army website.
  • Verify personal details, reporting date and category carefully.
  • Reach the venue strictly as per allotted reporting time (0015 hours).
  • Carry original educational certificates, domicile proof, Aadhaar card and required photocopies.
  • Maintain physical fitness standards as per category norms.

Candidates who have not received their admit cards have been advised to contact ARO Jamnagar before March 15, 2026, through the official helpline numbers.

Agnipath Scheme: A Transformational Path

Introduced by the Government of India, the Agnipath scheme aims to induct youth between 17.5 and 21 years (as per notified age relaxations) into the armed forces for a four-year tenure as Agniveers, with a handsome Seva Nidhi package and priority in future employment avenues.

Defence experts believe such rallies strengthen grassroots participation in national defence. “Recruitment drives at the district level ensure that talent from rural and semi-urban India gets equal access to opportunities in the armed forces,” said a retired defence analyst.

A Moment of Aspiration for Gujarat’s Youth

With hundreds expected to participate, the Rajkot rally is likely to witness high enthusiasm from aspirants eager to don the olive green uniform.

As the countdown begins, ARO Jamnagar has reiterated its message: “Be prepared, be punctual, and be proud. The nation awaits its next generation of soldiers.”
