A Pen in Reverence to Thiruvalluvar
To commemorate its Chennai debut, A & Co. Pens will unveil a special fountain pen created in reverence to Thiruvalluvar, the revered Tamil poet-philosopher and author of the timeless classic Thirukkural.
The limited-edition piece draws artistic inspiration from the iconic Thiruvalluvar statue and seeks to embody the enduring spirit of Tamil wisdom, ethics and literary brilliance. The design is conceived not merely as a writing instrument, but as a tribute — an artefact that celebrates the philosophical depth and cultural continuity of Tamil heritage.
Two New Collections Take the Spotlight

The Chennai showcase will also witness the unveiling of two new signature lines:
- A & Co. Eminence Collection – a series of finely crafted fountain pens that celebrate distinction, balance and refined craftsmanship.
- A & Co. Regalia Collection – inspired by heritage, symbolism and regal design aesthetics, blending narrative artistry with meticulous detailing.
Each creation from A&Co. is positioned as a functional work of art — where traditional craftsmanship meets artistic storytelling. Designed for discerning collectors, the pens bridge fine writing instruments with cultural expression, reinforcing India’s growing appreciation for bespoke, heritage-driven luxury goods.
“A Fitting Tribute to Chennai”
Speaking about the brand’s participation, Nasir Shaikh, Founder of A & Co. Pens, said: “Chennai has a rich literary and cultural heritage, and we felt it was only fitting to present a pen inspired by Thiruvalluvar at our first appearance here. Through this piece, we hope to celebrate not only the art of writing, but also the timeless wisdom that writing preserves.”
His remarks underscore the symbolic significance of launching the Thiruvalluvar-inspired pen in a city long regarded as a custodian of classical Tamil scholarship and modern literary movements alike.
A Growing Luxury Niche in India
The Chennai Pen Show 2026 arrives at a time when India’s luxury stationery and handcrafted fountain pen market is witnessing renewed interest, driven by collectors, calligraphy artists and professionals rediscovering analogue craftsmanship in a digital era.
Visitors can experience A & Co.’s handcrafted fountain pens at Hall No. 3 – Stall 10 and 11, where the Thiruvalluvar tribute edition, along with the newly introduced Eminence and Regalia collections, will be displayed alongside other signature creations from the atelier.
As Chennai’s writing community gathers under one roof, A&Co.’s debut promises to be more than a product showcase — it is a cultural conversation scripted in metal, resin and memory.
