Marathon of Energy and Unity
In collaboration with Vamos Run Club, Phoenix Marketcity organised a lively Women’s Day Marathon featuring 3K, 4K and 5K categories. The event welcomed men, women and children, reinforcing the message that gender equality and empowerment are collective goals.
More than 1,500 enthusiastic runners participated in the run, transforming the morning into a celebration of fitness and solidarity. The marathon concluded with an energetic Zumba session and a lively Coffee Rave, creating a festive atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
Complimentary refreshments kept runners energised, while every participant proudly received a finisher’s medal upon completing the race.
Voices of Inspiration: “The Power Within”
Later in the day, Phoenix Marketcity partnered with Young Indians (Yi) Chennai to host “The Power Within”, an exclusive International Women’s Day 2026 panel discussion highlighting stories of perseverance, leadership and purpose.
The panel featured accomplished speakers including:
- Veena Kumaravel, Founder of Naturals Salon
- Pooja Srinivasa Raja, Founder of The Love Hope Company and Executive Director at Adyar Ananda Bhavan
- Renuka, digital content creator and influencer
The session was moderated by Kapil Agrawal of Shuchi Friction Additives.
During the engaging discussion, the speakers shared their personal journeys and the values that shaped their success.
“Strength, perseverance and purpose are the foundations that empower women to create meaningful impact in society,” the panelists observed while reflecting on their entrepreneurial and professional journeys.

The event also featured the “GiveToGain Awards,” an initiative by Young Indians Chennai, honouring women working tirelessly at the grassroots level to uplift communities and drive social change.
