Marking a proud 75-year milestone, the Chartered Accountants Association Ahmedabad hosted a special technical evening that brought together stalwarts, past presidents, and members of the Chartered Accountant fraternity—celebrating a rich legacy while setting the tone for a future-ready profession.
The event reflected CAAA’s enduring contribution to the accounting ecosystem and its continued focus on relevance, innovation, and professional excellence.

The highlight of the evening was an engaging session by Senior Advocate Saurabh Soparkar, who delivered deep insights into: “Landmark judgments of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India that have significantly influenced the taxation framework.”
His address offered practical perspectives on evolving judicial interpretations, equipping professionals to navigate complex tax landscapes with clarity.
Technology & transformation: The new professional imperative
Adding a future-focused dimension, CA Mrugank Parikh spoke on: “The increasing importance of integrating technology into core professional functions to enhance efficiency, compliance, and value delivery.”

A key moment of the evening was the felicitation of CA Bishan Shah, a lifetime member of CAAA, on his elevation as Secretary of WIRC of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India—a recognition of professional excellence and leadership.

- ₹5 lakh by the family of Late CA M G Patel towards technology upskilling
- ₹5 lakh by the family of Late CA Ashvin Shah towards supporting young professionals through Study Circles

CA Rushabh Shah, President of CAAA, said: “The Association’s strength lies in its legacy built over decades by past leadership, and our continued effort to remain relevant to members.”
He added: “Key initiatives like the Articleship Mela and collaborations such as with the Wadhwani Foundation are expanding professional engagement and opportunities.”
Highlighting growth, he noted: “We have added 150 new members this year, reflecting increasing trust and participation within the community.”
