A wave of devotion and spiritual energy swept through Ahmedabad as thousands of devotees gathered early morning at the ancient Shri Nagarvel Hanuman Temple on Amraiwadi–Rakhial Road to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
Devotees offered sindoor, oil, flowers, garlands, coconuts, and prasad, seeking blessings and experiencing a profound sense of fulfillment and divine connection through darshan of Hanumanji.

RITUALS MARKED BY DEEP DEVOTION
The temple resonated with chants and rituals, including the early morning Utthapan Aarti, Triyanjan, and flag hoisting ceremony. Recitations of the sacred Sundarkand added to the spiritual atmosphere.
Between noon and 12:30 pm, the main Hanuman Jayanti Aarti was performed, accompanied by bhajans and kirtans, followed by the grand offering of Chhappan Bhog Annakut.
Devotees also participated in the Mahaprasad (community feast) and the Maruti Mahayagya, making the celebration a spiritually immersive experience.
PRIEST’S DISCOURSE: THE POWER OF HANUMANJI
Addressing the gathering, Mahant Shri Ranganathacharyaji Maharaj said: “At Shri Nagarvel Hanuman Temple, a large number of devotees have gathered for darshan, and the birth celebration is being observed with vibrant devotion and spiritual enthusiasm in the temple premises.”
He added: “Hanuman Jayanti is a unique opportunity to attain accomplishment, happiness, and prosperity through devotion, worship, and spiritual practice dedicated to Hanumanji.”
Emphasising the divine essence of Hanumanji, he said: “Shri Hanumanji is an incarnation (anshavatar) of Lord Shiva, embodying both Rudra and Shiva tattva in perfect harmony.”
On the spiritual benefits of devotion, he noted: “By remembering Hanumanji, one gains strength, fame, intellect, awareness, and courage.”

Highlighting Hanumanji’s role as protector, he stated: “Through His power and wisdom, Hanumanji removes the sufferings of devotees; hence, he is revered as Sankatmochan, Sankatharta, and Mangalkaari.”
Underscoring the spiritual experience, he concluded: “By Hanumanji’s grace and darshan, a devotee experiences a surge of positive energy and power, as he is the very deity of strength and power, manifest in Kaliyuga.”

The celebrations reflected not just ritualistic devotion but a deeper spiritual awakening, as devotees immersed themselves in bhakti, seeking inner strength, clarity, and divine blessings in today’s fast-paced world.
