In an inspiring showcase of discipline meeting direction, students of Delhi Public School Bopal have delivered stellar results in the CBSE Class 10 Board examinations, with top rankers attributing their success not to last-minute pressure, but to consistency, clarity of concepts, and a balanced lifestyle. From structured routines and smart revision techniques to mindful digital habits and strong mentorship, their journeys offer a powerful blueprint for aspirants aiming to convert effort into excellence.

First Rankers: Precision, planning & personal discipline

Nishchay Sinha-NE photo

Nishchay Sinha attributes good habits for his academic excellence. “I focused on daily revision and followed a fixed routine. Because of this consistency, exam pressure never felt overwhelming. I also ensured proper sleep, a balanced diet, and regular exercise. Regular revision cycles, self-made notes, and consistent practice with sample papers helped me a lot. Thorough reading of textbooks gave me clarity, speed, and confidence.”

“My parents ensured that I remained stress-free and provided a comfortable environment for studying. My teachers were extremely supportive and always available to clarify my doubts, which kept me motivated,” said Sinha on the vital role of parents and teachers in shaping his academic life.

On turning weakness into strength, he said: “I initially struggled with Social Science, as it requires a lot of memorisation. I overcame this by turning each chapter into a storyline and understanding the chronology of events, which helped me retain information better.”

His practical piece of advice to juniors is: “Start early, stay consistent, maintain a healthy routine, and focus on understanding concepts rather than just memorising.”

“I limited my use of social media, kept my phone away while studying, and used it as a reward after completing my targets,” said Sinha on the meticulous use of social media.

Commenting on the advantages of competitive exams, he replied that: “Although I wasn’t actively preparing for Olympiads, exposure to that level of questions strengthened my concepts and problem-solving skills, making board exams feel much easier.”

Principal Sabina Sawhney said, “Heartiest congratulations Nishchay on your outstanding achievement!! Your dedication, discipline, and perseverance have truly set you apart. Excelling in both academics and co-curricular pursuits reflects not only your talent but also your commitment to holistic growth.”

“Nishchay is a dedicated learner who approaches Mathematics with focus and determination. His logical thinking and analytical approach set him apart,” lauded Samir Vakharia, Maths teacher.

Nandan Seksaria – NE photo

Batting for proper sleep and a healthy diet, Nandan Seksaria said, “I did not chase long study hours; instead, I focused on studying a little every day. That habit made exam time much less stressful. Apart from this, I ensured that I resisted the urge to overexert myself and maintained proper sleep and a healthy diet.”

Sharing his success mantra, he said: “I relied on repeated revision and solving past question papers. I also created acronyms to remember formulae and focused on understanding the exam pattern, which gave me an edge.”

Attributing teachers and parents’ role in his success, he said, “My parents trusted me, and my teachers supported, guided, and encouraged me throughout the academic term. That support kept me confident.”

On overcoming challenges, he said, “I initially struggled with English, but by thoroughly reading the chapters, I was able to understand the themes and messages. This helped me frame better answers.”

Stating that consistency pays off, he said: “Be consistent and don’t ignore NCERT—it is your biggest strength. It helps build a strong foundation of concepts.”

Commenting on managing distractions, he said: “I created fixed ‘no-phone’ study hours and avoided unnecessary screen time, especially before exams.”

“Olympiads and SOF exams improved my analytical thinking skills, which helped me tackle application-based board questions,” he added.

Appreciating her student’s consistency, Shweta Dalal, English teacher, said, “Nandan’s journey in English reflects that consistent effort turns hesitation into confidence.”

Second Ranker: Smart strategy meets steady effort

Ayush Singh – NE photo

Ayush Singh highlighted the power of routine and revision: “I studied a little every day instead of waiting for exams. I made a timetable and followed it. During exams, I focused more on revision than new topics. I revised regularly, solved sample papers, and practiced previous years’ questions. Making short notes helped me revise quickly before exams.”

On the importance of a support system, he said, “My teachers cleared my doubts and guided me on important topics. My parents kept me motivated and ensured I had a peaceful study environment.”

Reiterating regular practice to overcome difficulty, he said: “I found Science difficult at first, but I practiced daily and solved extra questions. Slowly, it became my strongest subject.”

“Be consistent and don’t leave anything for the last moment. Even 2–3 hours of focused study daily is enough,” he said.

Stressing digital discipline, he added: “I limited my screen time and avoided social media during study hours. I used my phone only for study purposes.”

On competitive exams, he said: “Preparing for Olympiads or other exams improved my concepts and speed. It made Board exam questions feel easier.”

Principal Sabina Sawhney said, “Heartiest congratulations on your exceptional achievement! Your sincerity, perseverance, and disciplined approach have truly paid off. Your success is a reflection of both your hard work and your balanced approach towards academics and activities.”

“Ayush Singh was a very disciplined and obedient student who worked consistently hard throughout the year. His dedication and sincerity are truly commendable,” said Savyasachi Goswami, SST Teacher.

Third Rankers: Balance, clarity & conceptual strength

Jaskaran Singh Layal – NE photo

Jaskaran Singh Layal said, “Daily revision, a fixed schedule, short breaks, and mindful relaxation helped me stay calm and consistent under exam pressure. Concept mapping, past papers and concise handwritten notes improved accuracy and boosted recall during revisions.”

He added, “My parents guided and motivated me to stay focused; teachers clarified doubts patiently and guided with targeted feedback and time management tips. Maths and English were tough initially; consistent practice and mentor guidance turned fear into confidence through disciplined problem-solving.”

In his message to future toppers, he suggested: “Stick to basics, revise regularly, analyse mistakes, and work smart—consistency matters more than last-minute cramming.”

Furthermore, “I set screen limits, deleted distracting apps, studied offline, and rewarded focused sessions with short digital breaks.”

“Competitive exam preparation sharpened concepts, improved speed, and built exam temperament—making board exams easier and more structured,” he confidently said.

Principal Sabina Sawhney said, “Heartiest congratulations on your outstanding and commendable achievement! Your sincere efforts, unwavering determination and exceptional dedication have made us immensely proud. Wishing you continued success in all your future endeavours.”

“Jaskaran demonstrates steady improvement, moving from memorising facts to understanding concepts. His progress reflects a growing ability to connect Social Studies with real-life situations,” said Bharti Chhetri, Social Science teacher.

Sadhya Behera – NE photo

Sadhya Behera said, “I maintained a structured daily schedule with fixed study hours, consistent revision, and regular answer-writing practice. Even during stressful periods, I focused on consistency rather than simply increasing study time. Consistent revision, practicing previous years’ question papers, and attempting mock tests proved highly beneficial. Preparing short notes and formula sheets also helped in quick and effective revision.”

“My parents ensured a peaceful and supportive environment without putting pressure on me, while my teachers guided me with clear explanations and valuable answer-writing strategies. I dedicated extra time and effort to the subjects I found challenging. Gradually, these subjects turned into my strengths. Developing discipline is essential. Staying consistent from the beginning, practicing answer writing regularly, and focusing on conceptual understanding are key to success,” she added.

She further said that, “I minimised distractions by keeping my phone away during study hours and limiting the use of social media, especially during exams. Preparing for competitive exams enhanced my conceptual clarity and ultimately made board exam preparation much easier.”

Praising her, Principal Sabina Sawhney said, “Heartfelt congratulations on your remarkable accomplishment. Your consistent efforts, quiet determination, and positive outlook have played a key role in your success. Your ability to balance academics with co-curricular activities reflects your well-rounded personality and strong sense of purpose.”

Her English teacher Soumya Nair commented: “Sadhya has shown remarkable commitment and responsibility in all her work. Her consistent perseverance, positive attitude, and earnest approach to learning make her a truly exemplary student.”
