‘Thamizhar 4.0’ set to globalise Tamil enterprise: Entrepreneurs & traders sangamam to unite 500+ business leaders across continents

CHENNAI, JULY 8

What if Tamil entrepreneurs across the globe came together not merely to network, but to build a powerful international economic ecosystem?

That vision is set to become reality later this month as the Confederation of Tamil Agriculture, Commerce, Industry and Services (CTACIS) hosts ‘Thamizhar 4.0’, a two-day Global Trade & Business Summit that promises to transform Chennai into the meeting point of Tamil enterprise from across the world.

  • Chennai to host one of the largest global Tamil business conclaves, connecting entrepreneurs, investors and MSMEs from India, the Gulf, Europe, ASEAN and the Pacific
  • Summit aims to transform Tamil entrepreneurship into a worldwide economic movement through cross-border partnerships, B2B deals and international market access
  • Industry icons, government agencies and financial institutions to mentor MSMEs, unlock growth opportunities and accelerate global expansion of Tamil businesses
  • CTACIS to urge Tamil Nadu Government to establish Trade Mission offices in FTA nations and create stronger industry-MSME linkages
  • ‘Thamizhar 4.0’ envisions a globally connected Tamil business ecosystem driven by innovation, collaboration and collective economic strength

Scheduled to be held at the Hilton Hotel, Chennai, on July 24 and 25, the summit is expected to bring together more than 500 Tamil-speaking entrepreneurs, industrialists, exporters, traders, investors and business leaders from Tamil Nadu, other Indian states and several countries, making it one of the largest Tamil entrepreneurial and B2B networking platforms ever organised in the city.

Designed as an Entrepreneurs and Traders Sangamam, the summit seeks to create a vibrant global marketplace for Tamil businesses by fostering strategic collaborations, investment opportunities, technology partnerships and international trade linkages.

Building on the extensive presence of the Tamil diaspora in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Goa and overseas markets, the event will witness participation from countries with which India has signed Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), including the United Arab Emirates, Oman and European nations. Delegates from Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Australia are also expected to participate, reflecting the summit’s growing international footprint.

Organisers anticipate significant business-to-business (B2B) transactions, strategic alliances and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the event, opening new avenues for Tamil enterprises seeking global expansion.

At the heart of ‘Thamizhar 4.0’ is a renewed commitment to strengthening the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector through collaboration, innovation and market access.

The summit will feature keynote addresses and interactive sessions by renowned entrepreneurs and thought leaders, including Ma Foi K. Pandiarajan, Naturals C.K. Kumaravel, Isha Homes Suresh Krishnan and financial educator Anand Srinivasan (‘Money Pechu’), who will share insights on entrepreneurship, wealth creation, leadership and sustainable business growth.

Government agencies, including the Tamil Nadu Department of MSME, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), will also participate to familiarise entrepreneurs with financial assistance, policy initiatives and support mechanisms available under State and Central Government programmes.

Beyond business networking, the summit is expected to adopt significant policy recommendations aimed at accelerating Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth.

Among the key proposals is the creation of a structured mechanism linking large industries with MSMEs, enabling smaller enterprises to become integral parts of global supply chains. CTACIS will also urge the Tamil Nadu Government to establish Trade Mission Offices in countries covered under India’s Free Trade Agreements, facilitating exports and helping Tamil businesses secure a stronger international presence.

The organisers envision ‘Thamizhar 4.0’ as more than an annual business conference. They see it as the beginning of a worldwide movement encouraging global Tamils to function as an informal yet influential economic network that actively promotes Tamil-made products, services and enterprises on the world stage.

“Thamizhar 4.0 is envisioned as a global platform where Tamil entrepreneurs and traders can collaborate beyond geographical boundaries, create new business opportunities, strengthen MSMEs and collectively build an internationally competitive Tamil business ecosystem,” the organisers said.

Those interested in participating can register through www.ctacis.in or contact the organisers on +91 91500 60430 or +91 91500 60431.
