In a rare opportunity to experience the spiritual grandeur of five of India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations in a single journey, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the Panch Mahatirth Darshan Yatra, an all-inclusive Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train that will commence from Rajkot on August 29. Spanning 12 days and 13 nights, the pilgrimage promises devotees an unforgettable blend of faith, heritage, comfort and hassle-free travel across some of the country’s holiest shrines.

The specially curated pilgrimage circuit will cover Jagannath Puri, Kamakhya, Gaya, Kashi (Varanasi) and Ayodhya, enabling devotees to undertake one of India’s most spiritually significant yatras under a single comprehensive package.
Announcing the tour, Niketa Agarwal, Regional Manager, IRCTC Regional Office, Ahmedabad, said the Panch Mahatirth Darshan Yatra has been thoughtfully designed to provide pilgrims with a comfortable, safe and spiritually fulfilling experience.
“The Panch Mahatirth Darshan Yatra enables devotees to visit five of India’s most sacred pilgrimage destinations in one seamless journey. From train travel and accommodation to vegetarian meals, sightseeing, local transportation and tour management, IRCTC has taken care of every detail so that pilgrims can devote themselves entirely to their spiritual experience,” she said.
The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will depart from Rajkot on August 29, 2026, with boarding facilities at Surendranagar, Viramgam, Sabarmati Junction, Nadiad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Ujjain and Sant Hirdaram Nagar, making the pilgrimage easily accessible to devotees from Gujarat and neighbouring states.
During the yatra, pilgrims will have the opportunity to offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple in Puri, visit the architectural marvel Konark Sun Temple, seek blessings at Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar and the revered Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati. The journey will also include visits to the Vishnupad Temple and the UNESCO World Heritage Mahabodhi Temple at Gaya-Bodh Gaya, followed by darshan at the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple, the holy Ganga Ghats in Varanasi and the magnificent Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya.
Highlighting the growing popularity of organised pilgrimage tourism, Agarwal said IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav initiative is helping make spiritual journeys more accessible, affordable and memorable for devotees across the country.
“Spiritual tourism continues to witness tremendous interest among travellers. Through Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains, IRCTC is committed to showcasing India’s timeless spiritual and cultural heritage while offering pilgrims a safe, convenient and value-for-money travel experience,” she added.
The all-inclusive package is available in Sleeper (Economy), 3AC and 2AC categories. The fare covers rail travel, hotel accommodation, vegetarian meals, road transfers, sightseeing, tour escorts, travel insurance and other essential services, ensuring a worry-free pilgrimage.
