Celebrating the timeless bond between the Guru and the disciple, Shri Neem Karoli Maharaj Temple at Rancharda in Ahmedabad will observe Guru Purnima with a series of spiritually enriching programmes on Wednesday (July 29), inviting devotees to immerse themselves in prayer, devotion and selfless service while seeking the blessings of the revered saint.
Announcing the day-long celebrations, Dr Pravin Garg, Founder of Shri Neem Karoli Maharaj Temple, said the programmes have been organised for devotees and local residents to collectively celebrate the sacred festival that honours the guiding light of the Guru.
“The Guru Purnima celebrations have been organised for all devotees and local citizens to participate in this sacred occasion and receive the blessings of Guru Pujan,” Dr Garg said.
The celebrations will commence at 8 a.m. with the distribution of 1,111 bottles of milk as a gesture of community service and compassion.
At 11 a.m., around 200 schoolchildren will participate in a collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, filling the temple premises with devotional chants dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
The spiritual fervour will continue in the evening with the recitation of 21 Hanuman Chalisas at 7 p.m., followed by Guru Bhajans and Paduka Darshan at 8 p.m., offering devotees an opportunity to pay homage to the Guru through music, prayer and darshan.
The celebrations will culminate with the Maha Aarti at 8.45 p.m., followed by the distribution of Mahaprasad to all devotees.
Extending a warm invitation, the temple management urged devotees and members of the public to participate in the celebrations and experience the spiritual significance of Guru Purnima, a festival that symbolises gratitude towards the Guru, the dispeller of ignorance and the eternal guide on the path of wisdom.
