A Bollywood birthday celebration turned into a journey through the making of one of modern India’s greatest nation-builders when veteran actor Sanjay Dutt launched Barrister Mr. Patel, Indian-American producer, entrepreneur and author Jay Patel’s evocative account of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s formative London years.
The launch, held in New York on Dutt’s birthday and during the 150th birth anniversary year of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, brought together history, literature, friendship and the enduring legacy of the man who played a pivotal role in unifying India after Independence.
