Two races. Two gold medals. One giant leap towards the national stage. For Grade XI student Rishanvee Joshi of Delhi Public School–Bopal, the Gujarat State Junior Athletics Meet at Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra, became a golden springboard for a promising athletics journey.
Rishanvee blazed her way to first place in both the 100m and 200m events, emerging as a double gold medallist at the state-level competition and earning the opportunity to represent Gujarat at the National Youth Athletics Championships in Ludhiana, Punjab.
Her twin victories showcased a combination of speed, determination and competitive composure, while giving the young athlete valuable exposure to a higher level of competition.
The national championship experience in Ludhiana marks another important milestone in Rishanvee’s development, providing her with an opportunity to test herself against young athletes from across the country and further strengthen her pursuit of excellence in athletics.
Her performance is also a reflection of the discipline behind the medals. Dedicated training, perseverance and an unwavering commitment to athletics have helped Rishanvee translate her potential into results on the track.
The achievement has brought pride to DPS-Bopal, Ahmedabad, and its Sports Department, which congratulated Rishanvee on her outstanding accomplishment and wished her continued success as she sets her sights on greater heights in athletics.
From a double-gold finish in Godhra to a national challenge in Ludhiana, Rishanvee’s journey has already gathered momentum. The two medals may be the reward for yesterday’s training—but they could well be the starting blocks for tomorrow’s bigger victories.
