NE EDUCATION BUREAU

AHMEDABAD, SEPT 30

When money is the hurdle, let scholarship opportunities become the bridge

What if the college you dream about is closer than you think—not because the fees have fallen, but because financial support can help you cross the gap?

For thousands of talented Indian students, academic ability is not the biggest barrier to higher education; affordability can be. With that reality in mind, Navjeevan Express, in association with Buddy4Study, continues its Scholarship Alert initiative to bring potentially life-changing education opportunities within the reach of deserving students and families.

The current 2026-27 scholarship landscape includes opportunities for engineering students, schoolgirls, undergraduate and postgraduate students, professional-course aspirants, children of transport drivers and transgender learners.

The message is simple: do not allow lack of information to become another financial barrier to education.

  1. Siemens Scholarship: Engineering dreams, industry exposure

The Siemens Scholarship Program 2026 is aimed at first-year engineering students from economically disadvantaged families. Eligible streams include mechanical/production, electrical, electronics, electronics and telecommunication, computer science/IT and instrumentation.

The programme provides tuition-fee reimbursement and educational allowances, along with technical and functional training, soft-skills development, internships and mentorship from industry professionals. Eligibility includes enrolment in a government engineering college, excluding IITs, with specified academic and family-income criteria. The application window is listed as open until admissions for first-year government engineering colleges are complete.

  1. Aditya Birla Capital Scholarship: Investing in girls’ education

The Aditya Birla Capital Scholarship Program 2026-27 supports meritorious girl students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The opportunity covers students from Class 9 through postgraduate study, subject to course and institutional eligibility.

Current programme information lists financial support of up to ₹60,000, with eligibility including at least 60% marks and annual family income of up to ₹6 lakh for the applicable categories. The listed application deadline is October 27, 2026.

The message behind the programme is particularly significant: financial circumstances should not force a talented girl student to abandon her educational ambitions.

  1. SML Mahindra Scholarship: A helping hand for daughters of drivers

The SML Mahindra Scholarship Program 2026-27 has a sharply defined target group—meritorious girl students who are daughters of eligible heavy/light commercial vehicle drivers or bus drivers.

Its two categories, SML Saarthi and SML Unnati, address different stages of education. Saarthi supports eligible girls in Classes 11 and 12, while Unnati supports daughters of eligible drivers pursuing undergraduate, diploma or polytechnic STEM education.

Current Buddy4Study information lists financial assistance of ₹10,000 under Saarthi and ₹30,000 under Unnati, subject to eligibility conditions.

For families whose livelihoods depend on the wheels that keep India moving, the scholarship offers another journey—the journey from aspiration to education.

  1. Nirankari Rajmata Scholarship: Merit meets need

The Nirankari Rajmata Scholarship Scheme 2026-27, offered by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, supports needy and meritorious students pursuing selected technical and professional courses.

Eligible disciplines include engineering, medicine, MBA/PGDM, architecture, CA, CFA, LLB and journalism and mass communication. Applicants must generally have secured at least 90% in Class 12 and have annual family income below ₹5 lakh, besides meeting other programme conditions.

Selected students can receive a full tuition-fee waiver of up to ₹75,000 per year. The current application deadline is November 30, 2026.

  1. Tata Capital Pankh: Helping aspirations take flight

The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Program 2026-27 provides financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections studying in Classes 11 and 12, undergraduate degree programmes, diploma or ITI courses.

Current programme information specifies at least 60% marks and annual parental income of up to ₹4 lakh. Depending on the course and academic performance, assistance can range from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000, subject to the applicable fee and scholarship limits. The Buddy4Study listing currently gives October 26, 2026 as the application deadline.

  1. Swami Dayanand India Scholarship: Backing professional ambitions

The Swami Dayanand India Scholarship 2026-27 supports meritorious students entering the first year of full-time undergraduate professional programmes.

Eligible fields include engineering and technology, MBBS, BDS, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and veterinary science. Applicants must generally have secured at least 80% in Class 12, have annual family income of up to ₹12 lakh, and meet the programme’s other requirements.

Selected students can receive up to ₹50,000 per academic year. The current deadline is October 31, 2026.

  1. Ujjivan Transgender Scholarship: Education without exclusion

The Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Transgender Scholarship Program 2026-27, implemented through Buddy4Study, is designed to support transgender students across India.

Students studying in Classes 9–12 or undergraduate/postgraduate programmes through recognised government or private open schools and universities can apply, subject to the stated eligibility conditions. The programme offers a one-time scholarship of up to ₹40,000, which can be used towards academic expenses.

The current application deadline is October 30, 2026.

A scholarship is more than money

For a student standing at the threshold of higher education, a scholarship can mean more than a fee payment. It can mean one less financial worry, one more semester completed, one more professional qualification earned and one more family dream kept alive.

But students and parents should not apply merely because a scholarship appears attractive. Eligibility, marks, family-income limits, course requirements, documents and deadlines must be checked carefully before submission.

Applications should be made only through the designated scholarship platform or the official provider’s instructions. Students should also keep marksheets, income certificates, admission proof, fee receipts, identity documents and bank details ready wherever required.

Navjeevan Express Scholarship Alert: Share it forward

A scholarship opportunity has value only when the student who needs it knows about it.

So, share this Scholarship Alert with students, parents, teachers, schools, colleges, coaching centres and community organisations. One forwarded message could reach a student who has the talent to succeed but is searching for a way to afford the journey.

Let information become opportunity. Let opportunity become education. And let education become a better future.
