A prescription pad, usually associated with diagnosis and treatment, became the canvas for an unusual nationwide tribute to India’s medical fraternity, as Cadila Pharmaceuticals secured recognition from the Asia Book of Records for a mass graphology initiative involving 14,040 medical professionals.
The initiative, conducted in August 2026, sought to look beyond the white coat and prescription pad to the individuals behind them. Doctors participating in the campaign were invited to write “ACILOC RD” three times on a prescription pad, with certified handwriting experts subsequently analysing the samples to identify distinctive writing patterns and interpret them as individual personality insights.
The exercise was conceived as an effort to recognise doctors for their dedication to patient care—often at the expense of their own time and well-being—and to encourage them to pause and reflect on their own personal traits.
Using the prescription pad, a familiar instrument of the doctor-patient relationship, gave the campaign its distinctive character. Every participating doctor received a certificate of appreciation, turning the exercise into both a recognition and a personal experience.
Commenting on the milestone, Rajbir Sandhu, Chief Operating Officer – Magna, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, said, “Doctors work selflessly to care for society, often overlooking their own personal traits and well-being. A handwritten prescription carries reassurance and cure for a patient. Through this initiative, we wanted to celebrate the individuals behind those prescriptions, acknowledge their dedication, and offer a meaningful experience of self-discovery.”
The Asia Book of Records recognition marks another milestone in Cadila Pharmaceuticals’ corporate journey, while placing the spotlight on an unconventional form of engagement with the medical community.
Beyond its pharmaceutical operations and focus on making affordable, quality therapeutics available in India and global markets, the initiative sought to explore a more human dimension of healthcare—the people who write the prescriptions and devote themselves to caring for others.
At its heart, the campaign turned an everyday act of medical practice into a moment of recognition, reflection and appreciation for thousands of clinicians across the country.
