When 108 Rishikumars came together for the Maha Aarti at DPS Gandhinagar’s TRINAAD Garba 2026, the celebration transcended the rhythms of Garba to become a stirring confluence of devotion, cultural heritage, youthful talent and social inclusion. Blending the spiritual essence of Navratri with live music and a commitment to giving every child an opportunity to shine, the event celebrated Gujarat’s traditions while embracing the values of compassion and collective joy.

One of the evening’s musical highlights was the performance by Garvi Girls, the school’s talented student singers, who joined forces with renowned performer Akash Joshi as an orchestra team. The energetic Babla Boys added further verve to the musical celebration, creating an atmosphere charged with rhythm and enthusiasm.

The performances showcased the students’ confidence, creativity and musical abilities, demonstrating how cultural platforms can complement classroom learning by encouraging artistic expression, teamwork and self-belief.

The spiritual centrepiece of the celebration was the Maha Aarti performed by 108 Rishikumars. The collective prayer captured the devotional essence of Navratri, bringing together faith, tradition and a shared sense of reverence. The invocation of Lord Ganesha before the commencement of the Maha Aarti added a solemn and auspicious beginning to the spiritual proceedings.

Beyond music and devotion, TRINAAD also carried a message of empathy and equal opportunity. DPS Gandhinagar welcomed the Saaransh Foundation, which works towards the empowerment and development of children with special needs. Its dedicated stall showcased activities focused on essential life skills, drawing attention to the abilities, aspirations and potential of these children.

The initiative underscored the importance of creating inclusive spaces where children with special needs are recognised for their capabilities and afforded dignity, encouragement and opportunities to participate in society.

The event was attended by Apoorva Goenka, Pro-Vice Chairman of DPS Gandhinagar, and Dimple Goenka, Managing Trustee of Bholaram Education Society.

Commenting on the occasion, the school leadership said, “TRINAAD is a celebration of much more than music and tradition. It reflects our vision of nurturing young talent, keeping our cultural heritage alive and building a society where every child gets the opportunity to shine. The participation of our students and the children of Saaransh Foundation made this celebration especially meaningful.”

By bringing together devotional fervour, student-led musical performances and an initiative promoting inclusion, TRINAAD Garba 2026 offered a wider lesson in the meaning of celebration: traditions become more enduring when they inspire the next generation, bring communities together and make room for everyone to participate.
