When Diwali lights up homes, hearts and horizons, why should celebrations remain confined to conventional beats? Bringing together the infectious energy of Bollywood, the contemporary rhythm of global music and the exuberant spirit of Gujarat, ‘Let’s Diwaali Dancee!’ is inviting cine-goers to celebrate the Festival of Lights with a distinctly international musical flavour. The energetic new track from the upcoming USA-produced film ‘Hotel Motel Patel’ promises to turn Diwali gatherings into dance floors, with an appeal extending from Gujarati households to the global Indian diaspora.

Under the banner of Applied Art Productions, the official festive song has been released, generating interest among music lovers. Produced and directed by Hollywood filmmaker Mitesh Patel, the film revolves around the intriguing experiences of NRI life and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in March 2027.

A Diwali song with a global outlook

What makes this musical offering different from the many Bollywood numbers celebrating Diwali? Responding to this question, Mitesh Patel said, “This is meant for globalised cine fans, including India.”

Elaborating on the distinction between Indian and Hollywood filmmaking traditions, he added, “Unlike Indian films, Hollywood films do not have song and dance sequence.”

The filmmaker’s approach is therefore to bring the familiar Indian musical tradition into a cinematic production conceived with an international audience in mind. For Gujarati music lovers, the song also offers an opportunity to connect with the festive spirit through a contemporary, cross-cultural musical presentation.

Rakesh Shah, the song’s collaborator, expressed his enthusiasm for the concept, saying, “I am very much attracted by the song’s theme.”

A power-packed musical ensemble

The track brings together the powerful voices of veteran Bollywood singers Shaan, Suraj Jagan and Yashita Sharma. Music composition by Smmit Jay, with lyrics by Vinay Dave and Prem D Dave, gives the number its festive foundation, while Krutarrth Shah’s high-energy rap lyrics add a contemporary edge designed to get younger audiences onto the dance floor.

The musical arrangement and production have been handled by Saurabh Lokhande and Aakash Kumar, combining modern international beats with the celebratory mood of Diwali.

The makers believe the number has the potential to become a favourite at family celebrations, festive gatherings and youthful Diwali parties.

An international cast, an NRI story

Directed and produced by Mitesh Patel, ‘Hotel Motel Patel’ features an ensemble cast comprising Freddy Daruwala, Shrenu Parikh, Omi Vaidya, Sunil Vishrani, Neeta Vyas, Jay Pandya, Jay Raval, Aisha Patel, Ciana Patel, Parv Patel, Larry A. Woods, Stephanie McReynolds, Mihir Talasania, Viyan Patel and Anaya Patel.

The film’s international production canvas and its exploration of NRI life are expected to provide an engaging cinematic experience for audiences in India and overseas.

Behind the festive beats

The song has been mixed and mastered by Deepak Sugathan, while its vocals were recorded at reputed studios across Mumbai, Goa and Ahmedabad, reflecting the collaborative effort behind the production.

With its combination of celebrated playback voices, energetic rap, contemporary arrangements and an unmistakable Diwali mood, ‘Let’s Diwaali Dancee!’ seeks to make its presence felt during this festive season.

The song is now available on major music streaming platforms, while the feature film is slated to reach theatres worldwide in March 2027.

For Gujarati audiences, the larger takeaway is simple: Diwali is a celebration without borders, and music remains one of the most powerful ways of taking its joy to the world.
