At an age when most children are still discovering the world through textbooks and play, Arham Patel is already exploring how ideas can be transformed into solutions. A Grade 4 student of JNS-GIFT School, Arham has taken an encouraging step into the world of entrepreneurship, presenting his start-up concept at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) — adding a new chapter to a journey that began with writing a book.

Arham was recently invited to participate in IIM Calcutta’s Genesis Young Entrepreneurs Programme, where he presented ‘ScalpSol – Smart Kids Hair Care & Wellness’, a start-up idea conceived to address hair- and scalp-wellness challenges faced by children and teenagers.

The concept drew appreciation from the distinguished jury and faculty members for its creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial potential. For the young participant, the platform offered an opportunity to take an idea beyond the classroom and present it before an academic audience associated with management education and entrepreneurship.

Arham’s interests, however, extend beyond business innovation. He has already made his debut as a young author with ‘Save the Earth from Space’, a book reflecting his imagination and concern for environmental awareness.

His progression from author to budding entrepreneur offers a glimpse of how curiosity, creativity and a willingness to address everyday challenges can take root early in life. Whether through the written word or an innovative start-up concept, Arham is beginning to explore the power of ideas to inform, inspire and solve problems.

His achievement is a reminder that entrepreneurial thinking need not wait for adulthood. With encouragement, exposure and the freedom to imagine, young minds can begin shaping possibilities well before they leave school.
