The SSLC public examination in Tamil Nadu has been postponed to June 15, said the State Minister for School Education K.A. Sengottaiyan here on Tuesday.

Earlier, it was announced that the examination would be held from June 1 to 15. The minister announced postponement of examination after held discussion with the Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
As per the revised time-table, the examination for Language paper will be held on June 15. English – June 17, Mathematics – June 19, Science – June 22 and Social Science – June 24.
Further announcements regarding issue of hall tickets, examinations centres etc would be issued later, the minister said.
In the wake COVID-19 pandemic, opposition for conducting the examination from June1 from various quarters including the DMK.
