CHENNAI, JUNE 18
Superstar Rajinikanth received a bomb threat on Thursday, following which the Chennai police and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad rushed to the actor’s house here.
According to reports, an anonymous caller claimed that bombs were planted at Rajinikanth’s residence in Poes Garden to the police control room.
When the bomb squad and police reached the actor’s residence, they weren’t allowed to enter his house and conduct search operation because of COVID-19 scare, media reports said.
The team checked the security guard’s cabin and the area outside Rajinikanth’s house and declared it was a hoax call.
This is not the first time bomb threats have been issued to Rajinikanth, all of which have turned out to be hoax.
On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Darbar’, directed by AR Murugadoss. Rajikanth’s next project was Annathe of Sun Pictures.
