“Gujarat is the best destination for investment for global industrialists. It is also number one in the least rate of unemployment in the country. Gujarat is also number one in manufacturing. This is because of Gujarat’s clear policy, transparency, the commitment of ease of doing business, and easy environment for industries, because of which global industries are inspired to come to the state,” Rupani said.

“Gujarat is providing direct employment to more than 18 lakh people working in 60,000 units in 217 GIDC estates in the state. Gujarat is also progressing as far as per capita income is concerned,” Rupani added.

“Last year in July, the industrial electricity consumption was 207 million units and this year also in July we have the same, 207 million units of consumption. This means that the situation has returned to normal and the industrial units in the state are once again vibrant. Gujarat has always converted obstacles into opportunities and come out with rapid development after crises like earthquakes and cyclones. Gujarat once again is on the track of speedier development after the coronavirus crisis too,” added Rupani.
