In a great relief for ration card holders, the Gujarat government has made various processes required for ration cards under the Public Distribution System (PDS) simpler, faster and time-bound.
Accordingly, the Civil Supplies Department has decided to resolve Form Number 2 (Two) for new ration cards within a time limit of 15 days.
Similarly, all the three processes of adding new names, deleting existing names, and incorporating changes in names and addresses will be completed the same day as on the day of submitting the form for the same.
Changing names as part of the bifurcation of families to get separate ration cards with the change of family head, adding nominee’s name, and getting duplicate ration cards will be completed within seven days of submitting application forms.
