The Directorate of School Examinations is planning to conduct practical examinations for science and other subjects from January- end, official sources said.
The sources said that the preliminary work on conducting public examinations from preparation of question papers, answer sheets and hall tickets are being under process on fast pace.
Hence, the department has started working on full scale, including, inspection of science laboratories, appointment of external invigilators etc for conducting the practical examinations during the end of January.
Once, the practical examinations are over, students will get ample time to prepare for the public examinations during February, the sources said.
All the school heads were instructed to send preparedness of the laboratories etc to the directorate before the end of January, officials in directorate said.
Written examinations for Plus two examinations will begin on March 2.
