As the cricket fever is about to get flavoursome from tomorrow (September 19, 2020), the Taj Group of Hotels brings a medley of dishes from their kitchen to the couch of cricket fans! Savour the signature delicacies from your much-loved Hotels, Taj Coromandel, Taj Connemara, Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort & Spa, and Vivanta Chennai, IT Expressway in the comfort of your homes. These are available from September 19 – November 10, 2020, according to a release.
If you want to try some Mediterranean delicacies, choose from the vegetarian and non-vegetarian options from Taj Coromandel. The menu includes Trio of hummus – Hummus (Chickpea puree, tahini, lemon salt, extra virgin olive oil); Hummus beiruti (Onions, tomatoes, parsley, spiced chickpeas, extra virgin olive oil); and Hummus turkish (piri piri olives, parsley, extra virgin olive oil), with Toum (creamy garlic sauce) and Harissa bil toum (Fiery red pepper paste with creamy garlic sauce), all served with oven baked garlic pita / crisp zaatar pita. The mains include Falafel roll (Chickpea cakes, cumin, coriander, onion and garlic rolled in a pita); Chicken shawarma (Spit roasted chicken, garlic sauce, pickled vegetables, onions, tomatoes and parsley salad); Rubian salalah (Char grilled prawns marinated in traditional piquant sauce and cooked on skewers); Asparagus makhli (Pan tossed asparagus with garlic and pine nut sauce); and Cheese talas kebabi (Stuffed griddle baked breads from turkey). Round off with delicious desserts – Omali ( Baked Egyptian bread pudding with nuts ) and Orange blossom and almond basbousa. The vegetarian menu is priced at INR 2300 plus taxes for two, while the non-vegetarian menu is priced at INR 2600 plus taxes for two.
Taj Connemara serves Snack Boxes that are thoughtful and convenient – Poh pia je (Thai style curry flavored vegetable spring roll served with honey chilly dip); Paneer tikka (Stuffed tandoori paneer tikka with mint chutney); Corn and mutter samosa (Corn and peas filled deep fried pastry served with saunth chutney); Fatayer (Baked spinach and cottage cheese filo parcels); Kothu paratha with vegetables or lamb (Minced paratha with home style vegetable or curried lamb and coconut sauce); Chicken 65 (Deep fried spicy chicken morsels); Anglo India Lamb Cutlet (Crumb fried curried lamb cutlet); Chicken and Cheese Slider (Grilled chicken patties in mini burger bun); Cheese cake (Cream cheese with blue berry coulis); and dry gulab jamun (Deep fried milk dumplings rolled in desiccated coconut). The vegetarian snack box is priced at INR 1450 plus taxes for two, while the non-vegetarian menu is priced at INR 1750 plus taxes for two.
