Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians in a thrilling Super Over contest in the Indian Premier League on Monday after the match was tied.
In the Super Over, Navdeep Saini conceded only 7 runs and RCB skipper Virat Kohli hit Jasprit Bumrah for a boundary off the final delivery to win it for his team.
Chasing a target of 202, Mumbai Indians managed 201 for 5 after Ishan Kishan (99 off 58 balls) and Kieron Pollard (60 off 24 balls) nearly pulled off an incredible chase but could manage 8 off the required 19 runs in the last over.
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma had won the toss and opted to bowl at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
For Mumbai Indians, Trent Boult bagged two wickets for 34 while Rahul Chahar captured one for 31. Of the six bowlers used, four went wicketless.
Mumbai made one change in their playing XI, bringing in Ishan Kishan place of Saurabh Tiwary who was not fit. On the other hand, Bangalore effected three changes in the XI. Adam Zampa, Isuru Udana, and Gurkeerat Singh Mann replace Josh Philippe, Dale Steyn, Umesh Yadav. Zampa and Udana are making their debut for RCB.
