General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command Lieutenant General CP Mohanty on Monday visited Jaisalmer Military Station and reviewed the operational readiness and preparedness of the Konark Corps, a release said.
The Army Commander complimented all ranks for their dedicated efforts and high standards of training to thwart any security challenges and maintaining the sovereignty of the Nation. He exhorted all ranks to focus on operational preparedness for future wars and achieve a high level of professionalism.

During the visit, the General Officer was briefed by General Officer Commanding of Konark Corps Lieutenant General Anil Puri on the ongoing Military Excercise to develop Tri-Services Synergy for Integrated Warfighting. The General Officer also highlighted the importance of the use of modern day technology to enhance operational efficiency. He also emphasised the need for a high state of physical fitness and mental robustness to fight COVID.
