The Southern Railway has announced that it will run three pairs of Fully Reserved special trains. The booking for these trains can be made from today from 8 am onwards.
T.No.02656/02655 Chennai – Ahmedabad – Chennai Fully Reserved Daily Superfast Specials
This will have a composition of One First AC cum 2-Tier AC Coach, One 2-Tier AC Coach, Five 3-Tier AC Coaches, Ten Sleeper Class Coaches, One Pantry Car, Two General Second Class Coaches, and two Luggage cum Generator Cars,
Train No.02656 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Ahmedabad Daily Superfast Special will leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 10.10 hrs daily to reach Ahmedabad at 18.00 hrs the next day. In the return direction,
Train No.02655 Ahmedabad – Dr MGR Chennai Central Daily Superfast Special will leave Ahmedabad at 22.00 hrs daily to reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 04.45 hrs on the third day. The first Service of Train No.02656 from Dr MGR Chennai Central will be on and from 22nd November 2020 until further advice. The first Service of Train No.02655 from Ahmedabad will be on and from 23rd November 2020 until further advice.
Stoppages will be Sulurupetta, Gudur, Nellore, Kavali, Ongole, Chirala, Bapatla, Tenali, Vijayawada, Khammam, Mahububabad, Warangal, Manceral, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Warora, Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Murtajapur, Akola, Shegaon, Nandura, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgoan, Amalner, Dondaicha, Nandurbar, Vyara, Udhana, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad in both the directions.
In addition, Train No.02656 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Ahmedabad Special will stop at Maninagar also.
T.No.02659/02660 Nagercoil – Shalimar – Nagercoil Fully Reserved Weekly Specials
This will have a composition of One 2-Tier AC Coach, Five 3-Tier AC Coaches, Ten Sleeper Class Coaches, Four General Second Class Coaches, and two Luggage cum Brake Vans, Train No.02659 Nagercoil – Shalimar Weekly Special will leave Nagercoil at 14.45 hrs on Sundays to reach Shalimar at 11.55 hrs on Tuesdays.
In the return direction, Train No.02660 Shalimar – Nagercoil Weekly Special will leave Shalimar at 23.50 hrs on Wednesdays to reach Nagercoil at 21.35 hrs on Fridays. The first Service of Train No.02659 from Nagercoil will be on and from 22nd November 2020 until further advice. The first Service of Train No.02660 from Shalimar will be on and from 25th November 2020 until further advice.
Stoppages will be Thiruvananthapuram, Varkala, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Chittor, Tirupati, Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajamundry, Samalkot, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Berhampur, Balugan, Khurdha Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur K Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur and Santragachi in both directions.
Train No.02641/02642 Thiruvananthapuram – Shalimar – Thiruvananthapuram Fully Reserved Bi-Weekly Specials
This will have a composition of One 2-Tier AC Coach, Six 3-Tier AC Coaches, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Two General Second Class Coaches, and two Luggage cum Brake Vans, Train No.02641 Thiruvananthapuram – Shalimar Bi- Weekly Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 16.55 hrs on Thursdays and Saturdays to reach Shalimar at 11.55 hrs on Saturdays and Mondays.
In the return direction, Train No.02642 Shalimar – Thiruvananthapuram Bi- Weekly Special will leave Shalimar at 23.50 hrs on Sundays and Tuesdays to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 20.55 hrs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The first Service of Train No.02641 from Thiruvananthapuram will be on and from 28thNovember 2020 until further advice. The first Service of Train No.02642 from Shalimar will be on and from 1st December 2020 until further advice.
Stoppages will be Kollam, Kayankulam, Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Chertala, ErnakulamJn, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Vijayawada,Rajamundry, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Berhampur, Khurdha Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur K Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur and Santragachiin both the directions.
In Addition, Train No.02641 Thiruvananthapuram – Shalimar Special will stop at Ongole, Balugan and Mecheda Railway Stations. Similarly, Train No.02642 Shalimar – Thiruvananthapuram Special will stop at Trivandrum Petta Railway Station.
Reservations for the above Special trains from Southern Railway end will open at 08.00 hrs on Wednesday 18th November, 2020.
