Cyclone Nivar: SR announces change in pattern of trains today and tomorrow

In view of Cyclone Nivar, Southern Railway has cancelled several trains fully/partially today (November 25, 2020) and tomorrow (November 26, 2020).

Train No.02658 KSR Bengaluru – Dr MGR Chennai Central Special Train of 25th November 2020 is fully cancelled. The pairing train, Train No.02657 Dr MGR Chennai Central – KSR Bengaluru Special Train of 26th November 2020 is also fully cancelled.

Train No. 15119 Rameswaram-Manduadih Express scheduled to depart at 11 p.m. today (November 25, 2020) has been fully cancelled.

Trains fully Cancelled in view of Cyclone NIVAR – Full refund and 6 months time limit for claiming

Owing to the onset of Cyclone NIVAR, Southern Railway has announced cancellation of several special train services to destinations that are likely to be affected by unprecedented rains/cyclonic landfall and to other destinations due to operational difficulties.

For the trains fully cancelled by Railways in view of Cyclone NIVAR, full refund of fare will be granted on ticket cancellations.

The time limit for availing refunds has also been extended to six months from the date of journey. For PRS counter tickets, refunds across the counter can be availed on submission of tickets at the counters upto six (6) months from the date of scheduled departure of the train. Auto refund facility is available for tickets booked online.

And for trains cancelled partially, passengers can avail full refund for the untraveled portion until 6 months from the date of scheduled departure of the train. Auto refund facility is available for tickets booked online, series of bulletins from Southern Railway CPRO said.
