Air Marshal SK Ghotia VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Air Command (SWAC) visited Air Force Station in Vadsar on Friday. He was accompanied by his wife Nirmala Ghotia, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) (Regional), SWAC. They were received by Gp Capt Jagdeep Shetty, Station Commander, Air Force Station Vadsar and Shwetha Shetty, President AFWWA (Local), a defence release said.
During the visit, the AOC-in-C was briefed on the current operational situation and preparedness of the station to meet its assigned tasks. He inspected various operational installations and complimented the personnel for their battle readiness.
Appreciating the crucial role played by the station in providing Air Defence in SWAC region, the Air Officer shared his experience and provided focus areas for enhancing combat potential and operational orientation to station personnel for meeting the emerging challenges.
