NE BUSINESS BUREAU
NEW DELHI, JAN 7

Lava International has launched the world’s first smart phones – MyZ –  (tailor-made) that can be customised and even upgraded to suit the customers’ needs. MyZ is uniquely designed to allow customers to customize their smartphone to suit their needs, before purchase (being called asMy-Z). The phone can also be upgraded post purchase (being called as Z-Up) said Sunil Raina, President and Business Head, Lava International said.

Sunil Raina

Addressing a virtual launch and press meet, Mr. Sunil Raina said these smart phones can be customised in 66 unique ways with options of increasing or changing RAM, ROM, front camera, rear camera(s) and even the colour of the phone. The facility is an unprecedented in the 25-year history of the Mobile phones in the world, he added.

This would be a game changer in the Mobile market in the country, especially, the Mobile-savy South Indian customers, he said.

‘Made-to-Order’ customised phone

In a move that will redefine the smart phone industry and its use by customers, Lava announced this unique ‘Made-to-Order” concept for smart phones which will allow customers to choose between a 2GB, 3GB,4GB or 6GB RAM, and mix & match it with 32GB, 64GB & 128GB ROM in a combination of their choice. Further they can choose between a dual (13+2MP) or a triple rear camera (13+5+2MP), an 8MP or a 16MP selfie camera.

They can also select a color of your choice, their own version of Lava’s Z series –and your MyZ is ready. Customers can order this ‘Made-to-Order’ device on Lava e-store- www.lavamobiles.com and their unique smart phone, made just for them, will be delivered to the door steps with 7 to 10 days.

“We are proud to announce the artwork of our young and passionate R&D and design team from India, which made Lava the first ever company in the world to accomplish such a unique milestone. This concept, apart from fulfilling the consumer’s needs, will also make Lava a very nimble and efficient company in upstream and down-stream supply chains,” said Mr. Raina.

“Very soon, even retailers & traders can build phones as per their customer’s choice”, he added.

Even bigger Innovation – Upgrade to suit your needs post purchase

Innovative customisation doesn’t stop here. Lava has solved a yet another major pain point of the consumers. As the usage pattern of the consumer changes, they want to upgrade their phones with a higher RAM/ROM specification.

When the consumer is left with no option but to buy a new phone with a higher feature set and is forced to spend the full cost of a new phone.

With Lava’s Z-up, customers can upgrade their phone’s RAM and ROM by visiting a Lava service centre. For on-the-spot upgrade, customers can pre-book their appointment at a service centre near them. Upgrading phones will be possible, by paying only an incremental charge for upgraded components with an hour.

“With this unique innovation, we will save customers’ money, avoid the hassle of transferring data to a new phone, while ensuring environmental safetyand offering protection from e-waste. We firmly align ourselves with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Make in India and an Atmanirbhar Bharat with zero defect and zero effect”, Sunil Raina added

Beside launching MyZ & Zup Series powered with MediatekHelio G35 Octacor Processor and other features, the company also introduced its smartband- BeFIT. Befit will be available for Rs. 2,699.
