Konark Corps will be organising ‘Vijay Run’ on Friday, January 15, 2021, on the occasion of 73rd Army Day and ongoing Golden Jubilee celebrations commemorating the 1971 Indo-Pak war victory. The main event will be organised at Gandhinagar while all other Stations and locations of Konark Corps will also be conducting the event simultaneously, says a Defence release.

Commenting on this, Lieutenant General Anil Puri, General Officer Commanding, Konark Corps, said, “The aim of this marathon is to spread the awareness with respect to unparalleled achievement of Indian Army in 1971 Indo-Pak war to the wider audience and use this platform to reiterate Konark Corps’ continued service to the nation. Participants of civil society, paramilitary forces, and the three services will join troops of Konark Corps in the Half Marathon (21 Kilometer) which is open to all categories.”
The virtual Marathon will be organised and the registration for the same is being done by a large number of enthusiastic participants through the LS Sports website: https://lssports.in and also through the LS Sports App available on Google App Store.
Half Marathon Inter Battalion competition and 10 Kilometer Run for ladies and children are the other two categories.
