Raheja QBE General Insurance (RQBE) recently introduced the ‘Corona Kavach’ Policy. This new indemnity health insurance policy will offer cover against medical expenses incurred due to the hospitalization of individuals seeking treatment for COVID-19. The plan is now available online and can be availed for self, spouse, parents, parents-in-law, and dependent children.

Corona Kavach Policy provides cover for COVID-19 related hospitalization, treatment at the pre- and post-hospitalization stages, Home-Care Treatment, Road ambulance, and AYUSH treatment. The product has an Add cover (available on payment of the additional premium) where the policyholders will also be paid fixed daily amounts (hospital daily cash), which will be 0.5% of the sum insured per day for a maximum of up to 15 days, during a policy period. The cover is available for 3 ½ months, 6 ½ months, and 9 ½ months respectively.
From purchasing electronics to booking holidays, the online medium emerged as a winner in 2020. Banking on the same, Corona Kavach policy can now be bought online from an insurer’s website or via an aggregator’s website.
